The course was paced to allow questions demonstration and practical.
Josh, gave me some practice routines I could do on my own to work on my own.
The course covered everything I needed to start me off on a solid footing.
If I had any questions or equipment requirements either Josh or Trev. offered me their expertise.
Overall the course was well taught, thorough and well organised.
Particular highlights:
* Looking at the differences between washed, honey and natural processing and the effect on the green beans and the roasted beans.
* Espresso brewing. How to tell the difference between under, over and correctly extracted shots. How to prep the basket with minimal steps to get a good result. How to judge if the basket has correct dose and how to judge the quality of a shot.
* Milk preparation. How to get the basics of milk steaming. I've been practising what I learned and I'm now getting much better at it.
Josh and Trev also gave me plenty of really useful advice about my plans to set up a coffee cart. It's great to get these insights from people who know the industry.
My only regret is I completely forgot to buy some coffee as I left Huge thanks again to Josh for everything.

No we don't offer our courses at the weekends, the roastery is closed.
We don't have a car park, parking is on the road & payable on a meter.
Lunch isn't included in the course & we don't sell savoury food. However theres plenty of sandwich shops in the local area & your more than welcome to bring a packed lunch.
Please read the 'Description' section carefully for the course you book as this is what will be delived, it is not possible to tailor our group courses to each individual. If you would like a bespoke course tailored to your needs please get in touch.
Yes we add new dates to all our scheduled courses 3 times a year for the following 4 months. If your considering buying a gift cert for a course the recipient will be able to book on these new dates as they become available up to 18 months from date of purchase.
If you need to cancel your attendance on the course for any reason please get in touch for a refund or to reschedule. Any cancellations with less than 48 hours notice before the start time of the course cannot be refunded but we will try & reschedule for you if possible.
Whilst we do what we can to accommodate everybody on our courses, unfortunately the roastery is not currently easily accessible for those with impaired mobility. There is a shallow step into the building, access to the brewlab/roastery/training area is via a narrow walkway, and use of the equipment (espresso machine/grinder/roaster) during the course requires standing.
